Writer's Block?
I don’t understand the cliché of “Writer’s block.” I find that the more I write, the more ideas jump out at me. As I research the story topics, I find that there are multiple tangents that steam off my primary search topic. Some are mundane, but others are jaw dropping and beg to be explored. I just hope I have the time to put these ideas onto paper.
The internet makes this incredibly easy and yet at times frustrating because of the vast information. The other issue is the authenticity of the information. Make sure you find second and third verification on any your topic before stating it as fact unless you are writing a spoof.
We also pull ideas and experiences from our own lives. This brings an authenticity of its own, as it’s real. Of course, we all exaggerate or recall details differently so try to stay faithful to the truth. It's more believable.
