Creating Dialogue
I find it easy to create dialogue by immersing myself into the character speaking. With two characters, it's like playing chess by yourself, but this helps you keep the dialog true to the individual characters. I also read it out loud and if you can get a friend to read the other part as in a play, you'll be able to see if it flows well. It’s like Shakespeare back in high school; the spoken word needs to be heard to be appreciated. You can try to understand the old English, but when the scene is acted out in the classroom or on stage, the spoken word brings more depth and meaning.
