Homegrown

My new manuscript, Homegrown is out there. I am querying a number of literary agents and agencies, searching for that Holy Grail, representation. I have drafted up a query letter, synopsis, an author’s bio and sample chapters in the hope of finding my spot in traditional publishing.

Homegrown is the story of a young American teen, Dalton, who after losing his father, falls into depression. In a search for answers, he finds comfort in Islam. Unfortunately, he comes to the attention of ISIS recruiters. What Dalton doesn’t know is that he and others like him across the globe are being readied to attack the enemies of the Islamic State.

Aazam, an ISIS commander has sworn vengeance towards the countries that make up the International Coalition. He will use Dalton and other homegrown terrorists to bring the war to the lands of the infidel in retaliation for their interference.

When Dalton’s mother, Gail, realizes his involvement with the fanatical group, she will turn over heaven and hell to rescue her son before he does the unthinkable or gets himself killed.

This is a story of every parent’s worst nightmare and the power of family amid today’s political landscape.

Now, it’s a waiting game.
