Blonde Hair, Blue Eyes by Karin Slaughter

A young student/journalist sees the danger of being a woman. She wants to write an article for the local paper that proves that the number of women being assaulted is being ignored by mainstream news.
As with anything Slaughter writes, it is easy to become imbedded in the story, which in this case was the problem. Just as the story became interesting, it ended. This is one of the main reasons I don’t like Novellas. The other is that the greedy publishers demand the same price as a full novel, which is criminal. I bought this as an audio file and there was never any indication that it was not a full novel.
