Book Review: The Omega Factor by Steve Berry

To my surprise, this was not a Cotton Malone adventure, but a new stand-alone story with a new character. Meet Nickolas Lee, a United Nations’ Cultural Liaison and Investigative Officer, whose job is to protect the world’s cultural treasures.

When a priceless painting is destroyed by a nun, Nick’s curiosity is peaked. What did the painting represent and why destroy it? Others will kill for the digital photos and the stakes escalate. To make matters more complicated, the one woman that Nick had loved and hope to marry is in the centre of this mystery. There is nothing he will not do to protect her, even it means defying his boss or the local authorities.

This is a fight that the Catholic Church has been fighting for hundreds of years and the final chess move is about to take place. Winner takes all.

Berry once again proves he is the best at blending modern espionage and historical mysteries to life in an exciting, page turning race against time.
