Frankenstein – Dead and Alive #3 by Dean Koontz

This is the third in the Frankenstein series. New Orleans Detectives Carson O’Connor and Michael Maddison and Frankenstein finally confront the real monster, Victor Frankenstein, who plans on replacing the entire human race with his own creations that never tire, are faster and stronger than regular human and always do as they are told. Until recently. Seems there’s something wrong with Victor’s recipe.
When I started this series, I only knew of three books in the series. There are now five. I do not think I will be pursuing the others. The silliness of the characters turned me off. Much of the recreation of the monster and his history was enjoyable, but it was as if the author could not decide whether this was a horror or a comedy.
