The Defector by Chris Hadfield
From astronaut to spy thriller writer, there’s nothing that Chris Hadfield can’t do. I had to give the book a try, wondering if he was as good a writer as he was a Canadian Hero.
Guess what?
He is.
The defector is a hi-voltage spy thriller that sees a Russian pilot defect to the west with, at the time, the latest Russian fighter jet, the Mig Foxbat. The flying sequences are top-notch and have all the technological requirements for those who love Clancy or Dale Brown. At the same time, this is a spy novel, and the story is a real cat-and-mouse thriller.
Highly recommended.
