Trickster Point - Cork O’Connor #12 by William Kent Krueger

Cork sits with his old childhood friend, Jubal Little, as the man dies, an arrow, identical to that of Cork’s in his chest. It’s obvious that someone has gone to great lengths to set Cork up, and it’ll take so much more to prove that he’s innocence. But hate can smoulder for a lifetime and Cork must dreg up memories of his past to determine who might want Jubal dead and Cork blamed for it. But he’s hampered by small town politics, old grudges, jealousy, and a state cop who is determined to see Cork behind bars.

Krueger once again shows us how incredible he is as a storyteller. With real tension you can cut with a knife, you’ll race through the wilderness with Cork, all the time avoiding an arrow in the back.
